The Creator said in the Qur’an:
We have certainly created man into hardship. (Sura Al – Balad:4)
Which means, it is only by human constant suffering, struggle and hardship, he/she will reach a higher status than the angels.
This conflicting nature between dust (body) and soul what leads him/her to get struggled between the body material desires and his sublime spirit.
His/her only way to get this higher status in the next life, is by resisting what he likes and tolarating what he hates in this life.
Which means:
Following the Creator’s commands, and avoiding His prohibitions.
It is impossible for one to suffer instead of another person. Rather, a person is created to be born alone, die alone, become old alone, get sick alone, suffer alone, and meet his Creator alone.
O mankind, fear your Lord and fear a Day when no father will avail his son, nor will a son avail his father at all. Indeed, the promise of Allah (God) is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah (God) by the Deceiver.(Sura Luqman:33)
Dr. Abd Wahab Al Masiri said:
The essence of faith is the extent of willingness to be judged by an external Higher Value.
All human beings will be questioned by the Angel at the moment of his/her death.
Death: is a summons to meet the King of Kings.
Each person has to be ready with answers to three questions:
Who is your God.
The answer should be: The Creator (The Power in Heavens), He is not a Trinity. He has no son or partner. He does not come to earth in any human, animal, idol form).
What is your religion?
The answer should be: The Pure Monotheism, which means to believe in the Creator and to have a direct connection with Him. It is not allowed to supplicate to the Creator through saints, prophets (including Prophet Muhammad and Jesus), idols, or priests.
Who is your Prophet?
The answer should be: All the prophets of God including Moses, and Jesus who was created without father, just like Adam who was created without father or mother.
Next step:
Each will meet his/her Creator on the day of Judgment.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:
“The feet of the son of Adam shall not move from before his Lord on the Day of Judgement, until he is asked about five things: About his life and what he did with it, about his youth and what he wore it out in, about his wealth and how he earned it, and spent it upon, and what he did with what he knew.”
Characteristics of this meeting are:
Just and serious accountability:
The Day when Allah (God) will call unto them, and say: “Where are those whom you imagined to be My partners (priests, saints, idols، family members of Prophet Muhammad, etc)?” (Al-Qasas-62)
And it will be said, “Invoke your ‘partners’ ” and they will invoke them; but they will not respond to them, and they will see the punishment. If only they had followed guidance! (Al-Qasas:64)
And on the day when He shall call them and say: What was the answer you gave to the messengers? (Al-Qasas-65)
A private meeting:
And each of them will return to Him on the Day of Judgment all alone. (Sura Mariam:95)
There is no confidential files.
We have bound every human’s destiny to their neck. And on the Day of Judgment We will bring forth to each ˹person˺ a record which they will find laid open. (Sura Al – Isra:13)
Being under tight security.
Each soul will come forth with an angel to drive it and another to testify. (Sura Qaf:21)
Injustice is impossible.
Today every soul will be rewarded for what it has done. No injustice Today! Surely Allah is swift in reckoning. (Sura Ghafir:17)
There is no defense lawyers.
˹And it will be said,˺ “Read your record. You ˹alone˺ are sufficient this Day to take account of yourself.” (Sura Al-Isra:14)
Bribery and nepotism are forbidden.
The Day when neither wealth nor children will be of any benefit. (Sura Al-Shura:88)

And they will come out [for judgement] before Allah all together,( Sura Ibrahim:21)
Receiving the pronouncement of Judgment by hand.
As for those given their records in their right hand, they will cry ˹happily˺, “Here ˹everyone˺! Read my record! (Sura Al- Haqa:19)
And as for those given their record in their left hand, they will cry ˹bitterly˺, “I wish I had not been given my record” (Sura Al- Haqa:25)
There is no trial in absentia.
˹Beware of˺ the Day We will blow the mountains away, and you will see the earth laid bare. And We will gather all ˹humankind˺, leaving none behind.(Sura Al – Kahf:47).
Yet they will all be brought before Us. (Sura Yaseen:32)
There is no cassation or appeal.
My Word cannot be changed, nor am I unjust to ˹My˺ creation. (Sura Qaf:29)
There are no false witnesses.
On the Day their tongues, hands, and feet will testify against them for what they used to do. ( Sura Al-Nur:24)
There are no forgotten files.
On the Day Allah resurrects them all together, He will then inform them of what they have done. Allah has kept account of it all, while they have forgotten it. For Allah is a Witness over all things. (Sura Al-Mujadala:6)
Accurate scales of justice.
And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant. (Sura Al-Anbia:47)
Notes:
The reference of God to Himself as WE or US in many verses of the Qur’an denotes Grandeur and Power in Arabic. In the English language this is known as the royal WE, where a plural pronoun is used to refer to a single person holding a high office, such as a monarch. For the avoidance of doubt, the Qur’an has consistently reminded us of the SINGULAR pronoun in reference to God, when called upon by His servants.
The Christians, Jews, and Muslims in the Middle East use the word “Allah” to refer to God, which refers to The Only True God. The word “Allah” was mentioned in the earlier version of the Old Testament 89 times. (Refer to Genesis 2:4, Book of Daniel 6:20 Hebrew and Arabic Bible). The word ‘Allah’ appears in the original Sanskrit text. (Reg Veda – Book 2 hymn 1, Verse 11).
The Qur’an is the last sacred book sent by God, but not the only book. Muslims believe in all the earlier revelations of God (the scriptures of Abraham, the book of David, the Torah, the Gospel,etc.). Muslims believe that the original message in all the sacred books is Pure Monotheism (unifying God in worship). Unlike the Divine scriptures that preceded, the Qur’an has not been kept in the hands of any particular group or clergymen of allMuslims which would lead to the misinterpretation or alteration of it. On the contrary, the Qur’an has always been within the reach of Muslims who recite it in their daily prayers, and they refer to it for all their concerns. Muslims read and recite the same Qur’anic text that was read and recited during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad and his companions. Not a single letter has been added or removed from the Qur’an. The language of the Qur’an, the prophecies which came true, the accuracy in historical accounts, the mathematical inimitability and scientific accuracy, all prove that the Qur’an could not have been produced by a man who lived in Arabia in the 7th century and who could not read or write. God the Almighty challenged the Arabs and the non-Arabs to bring forth a book similar to the one He revealed, even though the Arabs at that time were masters of eloquence and rhetoric, they were unable to meet the challenge, and they realized that the Qur’an could not be from any other than God, the Lord of the universe.
